DisplayPort is backward compatible with DVI and transmits resolutions of up to WQXGA with high colour depth and super-fluent image reproduction rates. Mechanical locking of the DisplayPort plug prevents loose connections. Therefore, you can be sure that you get each slide and each sound exactly as it was meant to be.
